Mrs Chicken Laid an Egg: A Spring and Easter Song

(0)
A fun counting song which would make a great addition to a Spring or Easter Topic. The song tells of Mrs Chicken sitting on her eggs and almost being surprised as each chick comes along. You could use this in your maths sessions too and children will love performing the actions contained within the lyrics.

Winter Weather: A song about the weather in winter

(1)
A great addition to your 'Winter' Primary School Music Resources. The song touches on some of the different weather types experienced in winter and how to get rid of the winter blues by jumping and clapping and could be the prelude to a whole host of activities musical and otherwise. Have fun with this simple little song.
Ice Skating and Hot Chocolate: A song for a Winter Topic

Ice Skating and Hot Chocolate: A song for a Winter Topic

(0)
A pretty song in 3/4 time about two great winter treats for lucky children. Pop up Ice Rinks mean that many more children these days can experience the thrills of ice skating and of course a nice warm Hot Chocolate Drink afterwards. The adjectives in the chorus will provide fun for the children as they try to emulate the sound of the words and the flow of the music lends itself to perhaps creating a class dance and original pieces of music depicting skating in 3/4 time. Have fun with this great Priamry School Music Resource.
Snowman Mate Evaporates: A fun song to add to enhance a winter topic

Snowman Mate Evaporates: A fun song to add to enhance a winter topic

(0)
A sweet song about an evaporating snowman introducing a touch of science into the proceedings! Children will love the humour in the song as the snowman's eyes pop out and his ears disappear but hopefully the children will not get too sad as the last line of the song says 'But we will build another snow mate next cold and snowy day!' Why not create compositions inspired by this exploring diminuendo? Working in groups each child could play their instruments altogether then gradually drop out to paint a musical picture of the snowman disappearing as their music gets quieter and quieter. The possibilities for other activities inspired by this song are endless making it a good addition to your Primary School School Music Resources.
Wrap up Warm It's Winter: A fun song about Winter Clothes

Wrap up Warm It's Winter: A fun song about Winter Clothes

(0)
A humorous song which we can all relate to having been so wrapped up in winter woollies as children that we could hardly move by the time we got outside to play in the snow. The lyrics of the song tell of all the various layers of clothing children have to endure ending with 'our warmest pair of trews' (a Scottish term for trousers)before getting so hot that hats and gloves are soon discarded 'but please don't tell our Mum's Shh!' Why not create a musical composition using the layers of clothing as ways to build up layers of sound? Another great addition to a topic on 'Winter.'

Feed the Birds in Winter: A thought provoking song for a Winter Topic

(0)
A sweet song inspired by the joy my grandson has watching the birds out of the window on the feeders during winter and one of my favourite songs of all times 'Feed the Birds' from Mary Poppins. I hope you and your children enjoy this song which could be a prelude to many other activities musical and otherwise whilst you explore 'Winter' as a topic. There's plenty of opportunity for actions and movement in the chorus too.
Don't Be Late, Quick Hibernate: A fun wintry song

Don't Be Late, Quick Hibernate: A fun wintry song

(0)
A charming fun song with a simple melody where the lyrics tell of the animals that actually hibernate during winter in this country. This would be a perfect addition to a topic on winter or seasons. Additional activities could include learning about and categorizing the animals using musical instruments or simply choosing suitable rhythmic patterns to accompany the melody. However you choose to use this song I hope you and your children have fun with it. A great addition to your Primary School Music Resources
Jogging Giraffes: A fun animal song.
sallykeesallykee

Jogging Giraffes: A fun animal song.

(0)
A song inspired by my Grandson Harry and his love for his toy giraffe. The song has a lazy swing and relays how having extremely long legs does not make running and walking easy. As I researched this song I found out that when giraffes walk, they move both legs on one side of their body and then both legs on the other side and when they run unlike dogs for example their back legs go outside of their front legs. All fascinating stuff which led to the lyrics in the chorus. Actions would enhance this song greatly and why not get the children to get down on all fours and emulate the walking and running movements of a giraffe themselves. They will love it. Hope you and your children have lots of fun with this simple little song.
Tiger, Tiger, Orange and Black: An animal song about a Tiger

Tiger, Tiger, Orange and Black: An animal song about a Tiger

(0)
Set in a minor key this slightly scary song conjures up images of tigers prowling swamps and jungles ready to pounce on their prey. The children will love creeping to the music of the verse then the more up beat chorus is about visiting tigers in the zoo where the children are completely safe. Create actions and get the children to compose or improvise accompaniments to the song and you could have a show stopper on your hands. Enjoy!
Sounds Like A Nativity: A musical play re-telling the Christmas Story.

Sounds Like A Nativity: A musical play re-telling the Christmas Story.

(0)
From the first song and the lyrics ‘Once a year at the end of term, the teachers are in a flap’ humour pervades this nativity whilst not detracting from the importance of the Christmas Message. There are many opportunities for solo singing and group dancing but there is also plenty to keep the children not on stage occupied singing choruses and performing actions in every song. The children loved the songs and easily learnt the script ensuring the show was a ‘Hit’ at every performance. The package includes full audios, backing tracks, sheet music, script, lyric sheet and cast list, everything you need to put on a fantastic performance with KS1 children.
Kung Fu Panda: A song about a Panda's Habitat

Kung Fu Panda: A song about a Panda's Habitat

(0)
A fun song written for a Year 2 class to link with their topic on 'Habitats'. The children went on to create their own song verses about other endangered animals and we performed our class song in an assembly. Actions really enhance the song log with percussion accompaniment.
We're Going on Safari: A fun animal song

We're Going on Safari: A fun animal song

(0)
A fun yet informative song giving children the opportunity to march in time to the music with their pretend binoculars in the chorus then practise echo singing in the verse whilst trying to guess the safari animal the teacher is describing as she/he sings. A great starting point for a topic on animals or habitats.
Long John Silver's Gone to Sea: A Pirate Song

Long John Silver's Gone to Sea: A Pirate Song

(0)
Using the tune of 'Bobby Shaftoe' a well known sea shanty I created this short song about the infamous 'Long John Silver.' Rhythmic skills could be practised by clapping and tapping in the first section then twizzing round with a partner in the middle section. Whatever you do I'm sure the children will love it and it will add another dimension to a topic on 'Pirates' or 'The Sea.'
Caribbean Treasure Island: A Pirate Song
sallykeesallykee

Caribbean Treasure Island: A Pirate Song

(0)
A jolly Pirate song in a Calypso Style with plenty of opportunity for movement, fun and games. During the chorus a real coconut could be passed round with the person left holding the coconut when the music stops having to do a forfeit. Or half a coconut could be banged on the floor as it's passed round to create a rhythmic accompaniment. The possibilities are endless.
The Pirate Alphabet: A great song for a Pirate Topic
sallykeesallykee

The Pirate Alphabet: A great song for a Pirate Topic

(0)
A reworking of the well known 'Farmers in the Den' to include the alphabet sounds of the word 'Pirate' and lots of pirate artifacts. Teachers could have a treasure chest of relevant artifacts in front of them and children could guess something beginning with each letter of the word 'Pirate' in the chorus.
Blackbeard's Caribbean Castle: A Pirate Song
sallykeesallykee

Blackbeard's Caribbean Castle: A Pirate Song

(0)
Children will love dancing the 'Hornpipe' during the chorus of this song and will learn a few interesting facts about Captain Blackbeard as they sing along in the verse. Add some actions to help the children remember the words and you will have a ready made assembly song. Have fun with Captain Blackbeard 'the terror of the deep blue sea!'
Three Gigantic Galleons: A Pirate Song
sallykeesallykee

Three Gigantic Galleons: A Pirate Song

(0)
A fun counting song about Captain Blackbeard taking control of ' Three Gigantic Galleons' sailing on the sea including famous phrases used by pirates. Children could accompany the chorus with instruments and the songs could be a starting point for lots of other activities musical and non-musical. A great addition to topics on 'Pirates' or 'The Sea.'
'Oo Arr Where's My Treasure?' A fun pirate song with actions
sallykeesallykee

'Oo Arr Where's My Treasure?' A fun pirate song with actions

(0)
This fun song was written for a foundation stage class. The lyrics of the well known 'What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor' were changed to include all the keywords and ideas associated with pirates. The children then performed the song in a circle with actions for the verses then joining hands and stepping in and out of the circle (hokey cokey style) during the chorus. A great song to enhance a topic on Pirates or The Sea.
'X' Marks the Spot: A Pirate Song with actions

'X' Marks the Spot: A Pirate Song with actions

(0)
An action packed fun song about following a map and searching for treasure which could be a prelude to a whole host of other activities. Children will love following the instructions in the verse and then doing actions or a dance to fit in with the chorus. Have fun with this song everyone! A real asset to a topic on 'Pirates.'
